- Customer emails, sends, or brings prints of parts to review. ( All aspects of part usage are discussed.)
- IMS reviews part data and makes recommendations
- IMS or customer makes the changes to the part geometry
- IMS quotes the mold, part pricing and anything else that goes with the job.
- Once po is received, part data will be approved by the customer.
- IMS fills out our tool build sheet with all proper information from the base style to O dim, runner size and gate size and type.
- IMS orders all materials for the job(in required)
- Tool progress reports will be filled out to keep the customer informed on schedule if required.
- When tool is complete and delivered IMS will use our tool check off sheet to review the mold.
- Once all the tool work is complete the mold goes to sampling. We will use a number of studies to ensure the proper cycle has been developed.
- Parts will then be checked (FAI). Parts and the (FAIR) will then be sent to the customer for review and approval. (If parts are to be textured one more sample, inspection and customer approval will be needed.)
- While parts are being approved IMS will be finalizing packaging, fixturing (if required) and paperwork.
- Once process is approved, IMS will set up a pilot production run.
